Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus agg). (24/03/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (driveway down to yard). These are the ones we planted, thinking they were native, but I am not so sure. Although this has the pale outer flowers and bright yellow trumpet of the wild species, the shape of the outer petals is a bit different (natives they are a bit wavy and longer - plus the trumpet is more ragged).
Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus agg). (24/03/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (driveway down to yard). Same as previoius image - although this does have the right leaves for the wild variety, grey-green.
Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus agg). (22/03/2022) Southbank Barn, New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield, W. Sussex (garden). This is a really small specimen not planted - it just sprung up in this pot one year! Interestingly, it's very similar to proper Wild Daffodil with its small size (pot makes it look bigger than it is) and pale petals surrounding the darker trumpet - but those pale petals are not pale enough to be wild I don't think.
Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus agg). (22/03/2022) Southbank Barn, New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield, W. Sussex (garden). Same specimen as previous image, wild daffodil has a trumpet that has a more ragged edge than this.
Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus agg). (22/03/2022) Southbank Barn, New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield, W. Sussex (garden). Another close up of the same plant. So I don't think it is wild daffodil.
Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus agg). (11/03/2023) New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield, W Sussex. Growing in the wilderness bank outside the entrance to New HAll. Looks a bit like wild, but the petals are all teh same colour - the outer petals should be pale for it to be true wild daffodil.
Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus agg). (06/04/2021) New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield, W Sussex. Also very similar to the wild variety.
Poet's Daffodil / Pheasant's Eye (Narcissus poeticus) (06/04/2021) New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield, W. Sussex. I think this is Narcissus poeticus, one of the first daffodils to be cultivated. It differs from the other daffodils by having this very short trumpet.
Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus agg). (27/02/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (by yard water butt). There are hundreds of different varieties of daffodil so the next images are for interest sake only as are garden varieties.

Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus agg). (13/03/2022) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (by yard water butt). Taken with the flash in near darkness.

Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus agg). (06/04/2021) New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield, W Sussex. I have found out what this one is called, it is "White Lion".
